Image Flipper
Flip an image horizontally or vertically and save the result as PNG.
How to use
- Choose an image, select horizontal or vertical direction, and run.
Capabilities and scope
For horizontal flip the canvas x scale becomes -1; vertical flip applies -1 to y before redrawing the bitmap.
How it works
Canvas translate and scale are set for the chosen axis, the bitmap is drawn at original dimensions, and the result is PNG-encoded.
Example
Horizontally flipping an 800×600 photo creates a mirrored 800×600 PNG.
Useful for
- Mirror a selfie, scan, or graphic horizontally or vertically
Before you use it
- Diagonal flipping and rotation are separate operations, and PNG re-encoding does not preserve original metadata or animation.
Frequently asked questions
Does flipping change the image dimensions?
No. Horizontal and vertical flip keep the current pixel width and height.
