Palindrome Checker
Check whether the letters and digits read the same forward and backward after ignoring case and punctuation.
How to use
- Enter the candidate string and run the palindrome check.
Capabilities and scope
The input is lowercased and stripped to letters and digits, then its code-point reversal is compared with the normalized source.
How it works
It compares normalized n with [...n].reverse().join('').
Example
A man, a plan, a canal: Panama is treated as a palindrome after normalization.
Useful for
- Check simple palindromes in phrases or identifiers
Before you use it
- This is a character-level comparison, not a word-order or linguistic palindrome analysis.
