Alternating Case
Alternate lowercase and uppercase according to each code-point position.
How to use
- Enter text and run the alternating-case transformation.
Capabilities and scope
The first position is lower, the second upper, and spaces or symbols still consume positions in the alternation.
How it works
The spread input is mapped by index: even positions use toLowerCase and odd positions use toUpperCase.
Example
abcdef becomes aBcDeF.
Useful for
- Create a decorative alternating-case effect
Before you use it
- Because non-letters still occupy indexes, inserting spaces or punctuation changes the case phase of later letters.
Frequently asked questions
Are spaces skipped in the alternation?
No. They occupy positions and can flip the parity of following letters.
