Text to ASCII Codes
List the decimal Unicode code point of every input character.
How to use
- Enter text and run to view its decimal character codes.
Capabilities and scope
Despite the ASCII label, the implementation uses codePointAt(0) over [...input], so values above 127 are returned for Unicode characters.
How it works
Each spread code point contributes codePointAt(0), and the numbers are joined with spaces.
Example
ABC becomes 65 66 67 and 😀 becomes 128512.
Useful for
- Quickly inspect decimal Unicode code points
Before you use it
- This is not a strict ASCII encoder because non-ASCII characters are also represented by their Unicode values.
Frequently asked questions
Will Korean or Japanese characters produce numbers?
Yes. The actual implementation emits Unicode code points beyond the ASCII range.
