PDF Splitter
Copy selected pages from one PDF into a new downloadable PDF.
How to use
- Choose the PDF, click the pages to keep or apply an advanced range, then create the selected-pages PDF.
Capabilities and scope
Pages can be selected visually or by ranges such as 1-3, 6, and the input PDF is limited to 200 MB.
How it works
pdf-lib reads page count, converts selected numbers to zero-based indices, and copyPages adds them to a new PDFDocument; range input is deduplicated and sorted ascending.
Example
Selecting 1-3,6 from a 10-page PDF creates a PDF containing pages 1, 2, 3, and 6.
Useful for
- Extract a chapter or selected pages from a long PDF into one file
Before you use it
- This does not automatically make one output file per page; all selected pages are collected into one PDF, and encrypted/damaged PDFs may be unreadable.
Frequently asked questions
If I enter 3,1, is that order preserved?
No. Applying a range deduplicates selected pages and sorts them in ascending order.
