PDF Metadata Viewer
Display a PDF's page count plus Title, Author, Subject, Creator, and Producer metadata fields.
How to use
- Choose one PDF and run to inspect the metadata stored in its document properties.
Capabilities and scope
pdf-lib reads these six document-info values and missing fields are shown as —.
How it works
The runner calls PDFDocument getPageCount/getTitle/getAuthor/getSubject/getCreator/getProducer and formats the values as text.
Example
A PDF with title and author properties shows them alongside Pages and the other fields.
Useful for
- Inspect which basic document-property metadata is present in a PDF
Before you use it
- It does not analyze full XMP, attachments, signatures, or edit history, and it never infers missing fields from page content.
Frequently asked questions
Does it infer an author from the PDF text?
No. It only reads values stored in the PDF metadata fields.
