Memory Match Game
Play a memory-matching game with 4, 6, 8, or 10 symbol pairs shuffled in the browser.
How to use
- Choose pair count and reveal two cards at a time; mismatched cards close again after about 650 ms.
Capabilities and scope
The release runner uses Web Crypto shuffle for two copies of each symbol, starts timing on the first choice, and increments one move when the second card of a pair is chosen.
How it works
Matching indices remain in matched; mismatches clear open after a timeout, and elapsed time is finalized when every card is matched.
Example
In a six-pair game, a mismatched first pair adds one move and closes after roughly 0.65 seconds.
Useful for
- Repeat a short visual-memory task and compare moves and elapsed time
Before you use it
- Symbols are from a fixed set of ten and difficulty changes mainly by pair count; retrying the same deck and starting a newly shuffled game are different conditions.
Frequently asked questions
Can I retry the exact same layout?
Yes. The same-deck retry clears progress without replacing the deck, while New game reshuffles it.
