Invisible Character Viewer
Visualize selected invisible characters by replacing spaces, tabs, newlines, ZWSP, and NBSP with visible markers.
How to use
- Enter text suspected of invisible-character issues and run.
Capabilities and scope
Ordinary spaces become ·, tabs gain an arrow, newlines gain ↵, and ZWSP/NBSP receive named bracket markers.
How it works
A sequence of replacements targets U+0020, tab, newline, U+200B, and U+00A0 with explicit display markers.
Example
a b is shown as a·b and tabs receive an arrow marker.
Useful for
- Visually distinguish spaces, NBSP, ZWSP, tabs, and line breaks
Before you use it
- It does not reveal every Unicode control/invisible character, and the marker characters are diagnostic additions not present in the source.
