Interval Timer
Repeat configurable work and rest intervals for a selected number of rounds.
How to use
- Set work minutes, rest minutes, and rounds.
- Start the timer.
- Watch phase/round status and pause or reset as needed.
Capabilities and scope
The timer defaults to 1 minute work, 1 minute rest, and 5 rounds, switching between the two phases automatically.
How it works
Work and rest are alternating states. The round increments when a rest phase returns to work, and the sequence completes when the final work interval ends.
Example
2 minutes work / 1 minute rest for 3 rounds runs work1 → rest → work2 → rest → work3.
Useful for
- Time simple exercise intervals
- Alternate repetitive work and breaks
- Run multi-round timeboxes
Before you use it
- Intervals are configured in whole minutes; per-round custom durations and second-level settings are not available.
- The tool does not prescribe safe exercise intensity or recovery time.
Frequently asked questions
