Hangul Jamo Inspector
NFD-decompose the input and list every resulting code point with its U+ hexadecimal value.
How to use
- Enter the string to inspect and run.
Capabilities and scope
Hangul syllables decompose into jamo, but NFD is applied to the whole string so other decomposable characters can change too.
How it works
input.normalize('NFD') is iterated by code point and formatted as `character U+XXXX`.
Example
가 decomposes to ᄀ U+1100 and ᅡ U+1161.
Useful for
- Inspect the jamo code-point composition of Hangul syllables
Before you use it
- The output does not label initial/medial/final roles or Unicode character names; it shows raw characters and code points.
Frequently asked questions
Does it process only Hangul?
No. NFD normalization is applied to the entire input.
