Fullwidth to Halfwidth
Convert fullwidth ASCII-range characters and ideographic space to halfwidth ASCII and ordinary space.
How to use
- Enter text containing fullwidth Latin letters, digits, or symbols and run.
Capabilities and scope
Characters U+FF01 through U+FF5E subtract 0xFEE0 from their code, and U+3000 becomes U+0020.
How it works
The runner maps /[！-～]/g by charCode-0xFEE0 and replaces ideographic space with a normal space.
Example
ＡＢＣ１２３！ becomes ABC123!.

- Normalize fullwidth ASCII input into ordinary ASCII forms
Before you use it
- It does not convert halfwidth/fullwidth kana and, despite the broad name, the implemented direction is fullwidth to halfwidth only.
