How it works

Blank cells are inserted before day 1 according to its weekday, dates are filled through the month's last day, and trailing blanks complete a multiple of seven cells. Today's highlight compares against the device's current local date.

Example

If the first day of a month is Wednesday, Sunday through Tuesday are blank and day 1 begins in the Wednesday column.
