Paragraph Counter
Count non-empty paragraphs separated by blank lines.
How to use
- Enter multi-paragraph text and run the counter.
Capabilities and scope
A paragraph boundary requires a blank-line pattern rather than every single newline, and whitespace-only fragments are discarded.
How it works
The runner splits on /\n\s*\n/ and counts pieces whose trimmed content is non-empty.
Example
First paragraph Second paragraph returns two paragraphs.
Useful for
- Check paragraph structure in essays or documents
Before you use it
- A single newline remains inside the same paragraph and markup such as HTML p tags is not interpreted.
Frequently asked questions
Does every newline start a paragraph?
No. The current implementation requires a blank line between paragraphs.
