Lean Body Mass Estimate
Compare Boer, James, and Hume lean-body-mass estimates from reference sex, weight, and height.
How to use
- Enter reference sex, weight 1–350 kg, and height 120–230 cm.
- Calculate and compare the kilogram estimates and average.
Capabilities and scope
The runner keeps only plausible positive results and shows each equation plus their average and share of body weight.
How it works
Sex-specific Boer, James, and Hume coefficients are applied; results must be positive and no more than 110% of body weight to remain displayed.
Example
A 75 kg, 175 cm male reference returns three equation estimates and their average.
Interpretation
If every equation is filtered, the runner reports that no valid estimate is available.
Useful for
- Compare classic LBM equations
- Use height/weight equations as rough body-composition references
Before you use it
- These are not direct measurements such as DXA and individual error can be substantial.

Frequently asked questions
Why might an equation disappear from the results?
The runner filters estimates that are negative or exceed 110% of body weight.
