Hex Encoder
Encode text as UTF-8 bytes and concatenate each byte as two lowercase hexadecimal digits.
How to use
- Enter text and run to view its hex string.
Capabilities and scope
The result represents the UTF-8 byte stream rather than Unicode code points directly.
How it works
Each TextEncoder byte is converted to base 16, padded to two digits, and joined without separators.
Example
ABC becomes 414243.
Useful for
- Inspect the UTF-8 byte representation of text in hex
Before you use it
- No separator is inserted between bytes and this text action does not read a binary file directly.
Frequently asked questions
Is one non-ASCII character always two hex digits?
No. A character can occupy multiple UTF-8 bytes and therefore multiple hex pairs.
