Hex Decoder
Validate hexadecimal byte text, convert it to bytes, and decode those bytes as UTF-8.
How to use
- Enter the hex byte string and run decoding.
Capabilities and scope
A dedicated runner removes common separators, checks for complete two-digit hex pairs, and then uses TextDecoder.
How it works
After separator cleanup, the source must have even length and contain only hex digits; each pair becomes one byte.
Example
48 65 6c 6c 6f becomes Hello.
Useful for
- Read UTF-8 hex bytes from logs or protocol traces
Before you use it
- Arbitrary binary bytes can become replacement characters under UTF-8 and the tool does not auto-detect another encoding.
Frequently asked questions
Can the input contain spaces?
Yes. Common byte separators are removed before validation and decoding.
