Base64 Encoder
Encode text as UTF-8 bytes and then convert those bytes to Base64.
How to use
- Enter text and run the Base64 encoder.
Capabilities and scope
TextEncoder first creates the Unicode text's UTF-8 bytes, which are passed to btoa through a binary string.
How it works
The UTF-8 byte array is converted to byte characters and encoded with btoa.
Example
Hello becomes SGVsbG8=.
Useful for
- Represent a text payload in Base64
Before you use it
- Base64 is not encryption and does not provide confidentiality.
Frequently asked questions
