Cron Expression Explainer

Validate a standard five-field cron expression, show its fields, and calculate up to five upcoming runs in the browser time zone.

How to use

  1. Enter a cron such as 0 9 * * 1-5 and run Explain and calculate next runs.

Capabilities and scope

Minute, hour, day, month, and weekday support *, comma lists, hyphen ranges, and slash steps; the search advances minute-by-minute for up to one year.

How it works

Useful for

  • Visually check a simple cron schedule and its near-term run times

Before you use it

  • Quartz 6/7-field syntax, named months/weekdays, ?, L, W, #, and other extensions are unsupported.
