Barcode Value Generator
Generate 1–100 EAN-13 or UPC-A numeric values with check digits, or a restricted-character payload for Code 128.
How to use
- Choose format and count; for Code 128 also choose payload length, then generate.
Capabilities and scope
The enhanced runner makes 12 EAN-13 or 11 UPC-A random digits and calculates the standard weighted mod-10 check digit.
How it works
EAN/UPC use random digits plus a calculated check digit; Code 128 mode emits a random string from a restricted A-Z/2-9 alphabet.
Example
EAN-13 mode returns a 13-digit value including its check digit.
Useful for
- Create payload fixtures for barcode renderers or form validation
Before you use it
- No GS1 company prefix or product allocation is issued, and Code 128 mode creates payload text rather than encoding barcode bars.
Frequently asked questions
Is a generated EAN a real product number?
No. The check digit can be valid without any real GS1 assignment.
