Random Decimal Generator
Generate 1–100 Web-Crypto-backed decimal values in a range with 0–12 displayed decimal places.
How to use
- Enter range, count, and decimal places, then generate.
Capabilities and scope
A 32-bit random fraction in [0,1) is linearly mapped into the range and formatted with toFixed.
How it works
Each value is min + randomFloat()×(max-min), then converted to the requested fixed precision.
Example
Range 0–1 at four places can produce a value such as 0.3821.
Useful for
- Create probability-like or decimal test samples
Before you use it
- Formatting can make different raw values display identically, and the raw generator does not normally include the upper endpoint.
Frequently asked questions
Can a 0–1 range display 1.0000?
The raw value is below 1, but rounding can display 1.0000 at limited precision.
