JSON Path Explorer
Query one JSON value using dot notation, array indexes, and quoted keys.
How to use
- Enter JSON and a path beginning with $, then query it.
Capabilities and scope
A dedicated parser supports paths such as $.user.name, $[0], and $['a.b']; wildcards and filters are not implemented.
How it works
The path is tokenized into property names, numeric indexes, or quoted keys and traversed one step at a time.
Example
For {"user":{"tags":["web"]}}, $.user.tags[0] returns web.
Useful for
- Quickly inspect a known location inside nested JSON
Before you use it
- This is not a complete JSONPath implementation: wildcard, recursive descent, and filter expressions are unsupported.
Frequently asked questions
