Radioactivity Converter
Convert radioactive activity among Bq, kBq, MBq, and Ci using becquerels as the reference.
How to use
- Enter radioactive activity and choose the radionuclide-data and comparison units among Bq, kBq, MBq, and Ci.
Capabilities and scope
Compare activity, the decay rate per second, in SI becquerels and curies.
How it works
Bq is the reference with kBq=10³ Bq, MBq=10⁶ Bq, and 1 Ci=3.7×10¹⁰ Bq.
Example
An activity of 1 mCi corresponds to 37 MBq; in the current UI you can enter the equivalent value using the Ci option.
Useful for
- Compare Ci and Bq activity data
- Normalize kBq/MBq values
- Align units in radionuclide documentation
Before you use it
- Activity is not absorbed dose (Gy) or biological effect (Sv). Risk cannot be inferred without nuclide, energy, geometry, and exposure information.

Frequently asked questions
Does a higher Bq value imply the same proportional increase in dose?
No. Bq is decay rate; dose also depends on radiation type/energy and exposure conditions.
