CSS Formatter
Format CSS with Prettier standalone and the PostCSS parser plugin.
How to use
- Enter CSS code and run the formatter.
Capabilities and scope
The source is parsed structurally by Prettier rather than reformatted with simple string substitutions.
How it works
prettier.format uses parser:'css' with the postcss plugin.
Example
.a{color:red;margin:0} becomes normalized multiline CSS.
Useful for
- Make compressed or irregular CSS easier to read
Before you use it
- The tool does not load your project's .prettierrc and uses its own current formatter defaults.
Frequently asked questions
Does it support SCSS?
The action uses parser:'css', so SCSS-specific syntax is not guaranteed.
